European larch
Ladenburger facades made of regional or indigenous
types of wood are high quality, sustainable and modern
European larch is somewhat more uniform and harmonious than Siberian larch in terms of its grain. This wood triumphs with its vivid grain and provides a particularly natural facade appearance.
Siberian larch
Siberian larch originates from the eastern part of Russia beyond the Urals.
Very extreme climate conditions prevail in this region, with trees growing very slowly. The growth rings are accordingly close together and the wood structures very fine.
Compared to spruce and Douglas fir, Siberian larch has a much higher, natural durability and is therefore preferred in the facade and patio area.
A higher resin content as well as the tendency to form cracks belong to the characteristics of Siberian larch, which is why we do not offer any layer-forming or black surface treatments for these types of wood.
For this reason we supply Siberian larch untreated or with oiled surfaces. The variations here are numerous.
