Pine ‒ domestic wood for facades
Pine has a precious and timeless beauty. The southern German variety in particular is distinguished by its fine growth and uniform surface/wood structure. Pine trees are mature trees, i.e. there are no colour differences between heartwood and sapwood, creating a uniform appearance. The light tone of southern German pine allows the wood to be used for all types of applications and at the same time gives it a timelessness that helps make it popular in modern timber construction.
Pine trees have characterized the Alpine regions for many centuries. In these areas pine trees have long been appreciated for being a noble, matt wood. Lovers of pine facades are increasingly being found at our latitudes as well. Holzwerke Ladenburger uses only southern German pine trees, rift or half-rift materials, which are almost completely free of branches.
